Hippy Bay
Hippy Bay rocks andcrystal clear sea ideal for snorkelling
Location Playa de Diego Hernandez beach
At the northern end of La Caleta,s sea front go up the steps to the top of the headland. This entire area is a nature reserve with outstanding rough beauty. The paths and trails are rough and we advise strong footwear and not flip flops.
- Longer Scenic route. Follow a path to your left around the coast.
- Short route. Turn right along the path that runs behind the houses of La Caleta for about 300 metres then bear right at a Y junction which will take you to the next bay the Hippy bay.
- Continue past the Hippy bay and head over the next headland to Playa de Diego Hernandez

This Nude beach is larger than the Hippy bay and is sandy
Description Hippy Bay
This V shaped bay with a flattened end is mainly rocky has large areas of flat rock suitable for sunbathing. Some nude sunbathing takes place here.

Playa de los Patos nude beach (Puerta de la Cruz area)
Location Playa de los Patos Nude beach
Located in one of the 3 coves about 1 kilometre east of the last houses of Puerta de la Cruz. By car turn off the TF5 at junction 32 and head for Rincon. Head straight for the coast by passing Rincon by keeping it on your right. This road is 1 car wide, hope nobody is coming the other way. Zoom in on the map for details.
Description of Nude beach at Playa de los Patos
One of three adjacent beautiful coves. Playa de los Patos has black sand and there is a beach bar for those cold drinks or snacks. The waves in this area can be very spectacular.
Besides nudists the big waves also attract surfers.

Playa de La Pelada nude beach (El Medano area)

- Located 2 kilometres to the North East of El Medano
- 400 metres north east of the village of Arenas del Mar, Tenerife Access via trails from the village
- A small bay to the south of Pelada mountain (Montana Pelada)
Description of Nude beach at Playa de La Pelada
A small bay with a 50 x20 metres black sand beach, which continues with narrow boulder covered sandy stretches going along under the foot of the rock cliffs. This continuation depends very much on the straight of the tide and weather it,s a neap or spring tide
Takes a bit of effort to get there but this is a very good nude beach.

Playa de Las Gaviotas nude beach (Santa Cruz area)

- Very popular.
- Sparkling black sand.
- Beach approx. 250metres long by 40 metres wide.
- Car Park next to beach.
- Cafe Bar next to beach.
- No toilets , no sun loungers, no parasols, no showers.
- Because of it's popularity nudism tends to be towards the far end away from the car park & cafe bar
Location of Playa de Las Gaviotas
- Playa de Las Gaviotas is located 1 kilometre, as the crow flies but 6 kilometres by road, North East of Las Teresitas beach near San Andres. Which in turn is North East of Santa Cruz.
- The practical way is by car or motor bike but 2 bus services are available.. Bus stop 1.3km walk by road.
Bus Line. 945: SANTA CRUZ to IGUESTE DE SAN ANDRÉS (9 buses a day)

From the stop there is about 1.5 kilometre walk down the side road to the beach
Description of Nude beach at Playa de Las Gaviotas
A car park and a small kiosk is located next to Playa de Las Gaviotas beach selling snacks and drinks
Las Gaviotas beach is quiet small being about 200 metres by 40 metres and is composed of Tenerife's volcanic black sand. Very popular with the young and also naturists
The beach is also popular with surfers.

Playa de la Tejita Nude Beach (El Medano & TFS area)

Description of Playa de la Tejita Nude Beach
- Also known as Playa de Montana Roja. Tejita is pronounced T-Heat a (T as in To, a as in hat) J is similar to a hard English h as in high but forcing the sound out with the tongue near the rof of your mouth
- There is a very small take away cafe and bar at the Montana Roja end of the beach. A large roll sandwich and can of beer about €5.00
- Playa de la Tejita is a Nudist beach at the Montana Roja end and the small beach round the corner from the cafe.
- Sun beds can be hired.
- Body surfing
- The beach is very long and the popular area is at the northern end, near to the car park and the beach bar. Walk south along the beach for a quieter section
Located south of El Medano on the far side on the Montana Roja headland on the beach in front of Tenerife South Airport
Gay section of Playa de la Tejita
The Playa de la Tejita gay beach is much smaller and just over the ridge next to the cafe, becomes cruisey if you continue into the rocks under the headland cliffs.

Playa de la Tejita located on the coast in front of the village of Tejita and the camping site Montana Roja
The beach is about 10 min walk along a flat trail from the car park alongside the TF 643 road.
There is a smaller trail to the beach from the bus stop. The bus stop is about 200 yards along the road nearer to Los Abrigos from the car park.

Playa de Montana Amarilla (Costa del Silencio area)
Location of Playa de Montana Amarilla
The mountain a small extinct volcano with a caldera that has a section of it's rim missing on the North East side. Spectacular views are available from the Volcano's rim.
At the end of Calle Chasna near the sea near where a ladder is set into the rock for swimmers to use is a path to the top of Montana Amarilla. Please note that this path is steep and because of the loose sand and gravel over solid rock is very slippy. I therefore reccomend the route described below.
Travel east along Av de Jose Antonio Tavio to the end and the shopping centre shops pubs, continue east after a slight left twist in the road along Calle Olimpia for 180 metres to the sharp left bend.
Look for the dirt footpath that starts 50 metres away behind the wall on your right.
Follow the main foot path clockwise around the inland side of Amarilla mountain, this takes you to a rocky headland overlooking the bay on your right
For a very scenic route you can go via the top rim of the Amarilla mountain's Caldera again use the above path then take a minor track that starts centrally at the back of the mountain. Follow the trail up the mountain on your right and follow the main path along the rim anticlockwise untill it descends and meets a path on your right turn right. tHis path takes you around the outside of the mountain to the cove.
The Area is also available with a longer walk from Golf del Sur
There are plenty of good walking trails in this area with good views of this rugged coast line.

A nudist beach of large pebbles and no facilities. We have no details of it's popularity
