Las Galletas is a fishing village with a fishing harbour and marina. The village does not have any main tourist accommodation, this has grown up in Costa del Silencio which has grown up on the eastern side of Playa las Galletas immediately after the main road Avenida de Fernando Salazar Gonzalez.

Las Galletas Beach Description
Las Galletas Beach is a long curved beach that is protected by the harbour quay making the sea extremely calm, and therefore ideal for young families.
The beach is made up of areas of fine dark volcanic sand and areas of small to large pebbles & area of mixed sand & pebbles
There is car parking the full length of the backing roadTF 66 named either Avenida del Alantico (Google) or Calle Cesar Manrique depending on the map used.

Las Galletas Beach Location
The beach is located immediately to the west of the harbour wall. The beach is backed by the road leading to the next village El Fraille and further along Los Cristianos or Playa de las Americas.
Because the harbour wall makes the end of Playa las Galletas there is open countryside behind the road.
Las Galletas Harbour
The curving harbour wall not only protects the marina , boats anchored in the bay, but denotes the western edge of Playa las Galletas.
The area is has excellent scuba diving and is consequently the home harbour for a few scuba diving schools. See Scuba Diving
Golden Trout Yellow Submarine
The harbour is the home of the Golden Trout Yellow Submarine that takes visitor on a 50 minute underwater adventure to see the marine life.
Trips are daily at 10am, noon, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm & 5pm.

Playa las Galletas Costa del Silencio Promenade & Sea front
General Description
The Sea front Promenade starts at Playa las Galletas harbour wall and runs eastwards to the start of where a short inland diversion around the Tel Bel Swimming Pool and a section of the Ten Bel complex.
The promenade then continues along the top of low cliffs to the eastern end of Costa del Silencio
Just beyond is Costa del Silencio dramatic open countryside with higher cliffs and domination by the Volcanic cone & caldera of Montana Amarilla. Walking paths run from around the rear of the mountain to the summit & to a small naturist cove and you can continue on to Golf del Sur where you can catch a bus back, or even walk back. If going for a walk take a litre of water with you. We also recommend strong shoes.

Dive 24:7 run by Irish divers David & Nichola Carson is located in nearby El Fraile and their rigid hull inflatable boat "The Celtic Wave" is harboured in Playa las Galletas.
They instruct on recreational, technical and rebreather diving with several different PADI Dive courses lasting from half a day to 4 days. They also over dive packages for certified divers.
