• Package Holidays
• Independent Holidays

Package Holidays

Package Holidays advantage

• All your travel requirements are taken care of by the travel operator.  These usually include:
  • Accommodation
  • Flights
  • **Transfer from the Spanish airport to your hotel, apartment or villa. 
  • **In flight refreshment or meals
  • **Travel Insurance.
  • Note items marked ** may incure additional charges, these will be clearly marked on the operators website or brochure.
• You have additional safeguards, compared to the independent traveler, if there are delays or cancellations with flights. 

Disadvantage of a package tour

• Transfers take a much longer time, than grabbing a taxi, especially if you are staying at Accommodation that is the last in the list of drop offs from the coach
• Limited flexibility 

 

Independent Holidays

Advantage of Independent Holidays

• Flexibility, e.g. you can stay at several resorts, during your stay. 
• Regular Independent traveler say that independent holidays are cheaper than a package deals.
• Ideal for touring with your own car or car hire from a Spanish airport.

Disadvantage:

• Flight delays or cancellations can upset your pre booked hotel booking dates or the use of public transport buses and trains in Spain.
• You may also have to pay for hotel rooms at the UK airport as well as the already booked hotel room in Spain.
• More time is required to book your separate accommodation and travel requirements.

Payments

• Paying for your holiday by Credit Card gives you extra protection in case of liquidation of your holiday or flight operator. The disadvantage is that the holiday or flight operator may charge an extra fee, usually around 2%, for credit card payments
• Payments by Debit Cards are usually free from extra charges, but do not have the advantages offered by credi Cards

Ensure you have adequate travel insurance for any delays, theft, illness and other problems.
